Thank you for all your help

Good evening I would like to start by taking time to thank the following bloggers:

http://gailowens50.blogspot.com/

These colleagues/blogger buddies have helped me with my advocacy plan and helped me gain a better understanding of what I need to do. They also at times helped build my confidence around the advocacy plan and weither I should complete it or not or even continue with the class. You ladies were more than just classmates you were friends that gave suggestions and opinions that put me to think. For that I thank you.
I know with the help of God and your great families you ladies will rise to be some of the best teachers our schools call for and I hope your names remain in the minds of the children you will help. I also hope that you take the advocacy skills you gained and the courage from this course and use it to help serve families who need help.

GOOD LUCK CLASS OF 2013………….

    Personal Advocacy Journey

Quote: "Our voices will be heard in the future when we take up an advocacy issue, " -Dawn Hudson.

  • What inspires and excites you most about your advocacy plan and being an advocate?
  • What inspires me and excites me about my advocacy plan and being an advocate is knowing that I am helping families so they can live better lives and have health children. Plus I enjoy arguing for what is right and having my share of what belongs to me and families.
  • What challenges and/or anxieties do you feel related to engaging in the advocacy efforts you have targeted?
  • The challenges I feel is not having the time and support that is needed to get an advocacy plan going and make sure it gets the attention it needs to make it to lobbyist.

  • What do you believe will be most effective in helping you overcome any challenging emotions you may be feeling with regard to presenting and implementing your Advocacy Action Plan?
  • Being able to get more families on board and community leaders will definitely help me overcome my emotions because know their is a team of people working on a cause not just me.

  • How can you encourage others in their advocacy efforts, and how can others encourage you?
  • We as educators have the passion to help others, using this passion can help us accomplish everything and getting people to listen is a natural skill that educators have so lets get the ball rolling and speak out about what we want to do to help our families and be grateful for the help you can get so your advocacy efforts are not jeopardized because of not having enough time to work on advocacy.
